San José Partners with CityBase on Business Tax Amnesty Program

The City of San José wanted to make tax penalty forgiveness and accurate tax payments easier for business owners. The City’s Finance Department partnered with CityBase to streamline the payment process and make it more accessible in one centralized online hub. The initiative was named a 2020 recipient of the Smart 50 Awards. 

The improved technology is an initiative of San José’s Smart Cities and Service Improvement Committee. The following was presented to the Committee on March 5, 2020.
