Kiosks are a Secure, Cloud-Based Payment Channel
Data security was a major consideration for DTE when selecting CityBase’s cloud-based payment solution.
“Once the customer information’s there, the kiosk calls back to DTE to get the full account information and net balance information. And then when that transaction is over, it goes away. We have that data, is stored at the cloud level, so we can access which customers went to that kiosk and everything about their time that they went and what they did, but it’s not stored on the actual kiosk.”
