A startup that wants you to love paying fees to the city
Can paying a parking ticket ever be a fun experience? No, it cannot. But could it be a better experience? Mike Duffy of CityBase thinks so.
Duffy is founder and CEO of CityBase, a Chicago startup that improves websites by streamlining payment systems and digitizing manually processed transactions for municipal governments and utility companies. “They’re a young, vibrant company bringing something (to governments) that we all take for granted,” says Tajel Shah, chief assistant treasurer for the city and county of San Francisco, a CityBase client. “They’re making online payments a good experience for folks.”
